Carol C has made excellent progress!
Member Sandra M has completed the design and finished it into a needle case. Sandra was able to place the stitches to create her own design. Learned something new while making something useful!!
Started in January and completed in March, this project proved to be challenging but beautiful!
This beautiful project, exploring the use of queen stitch, has been finished as a pillow or large pincushion. As it was stitched on 20 ct. Jobelan, it's larger than described in the EGA Needle Arts Magazine (March 2021, pgs. 20-27). Val R, our VP of programs taught and completed this particular project and used DMC Floche as the principle fiber.
We begin this stumpwork project in February. Note how small this will be using a dime as a reference.
Great participation - our members tackle our Stumpwork project!
Here is a close up shot of our members working on the Stumpwork Butterfly project
Melinda S. served as our instructor for this project. She utilized a thinner wire for the antenna. The "wing" wires will be tightened a bit to be less visible.
Once Val R distributed supplies, instructions were offered to the class. Our "sample" was completed in color so the stitches would be easier to see and follow!
Participants utilize a "doodle" cloth prior to applying stitches to the actual fabric/design. The first section, Kloster blocks and buttonhole stitch border, will be completed in May and the second session will be completed in July
